Can you really reverse aging process or turn back the hands of time? While common wisdom says no, proponents of cutting-edge technology insist it is possible. 

Although it’s true that we’re all destined to pass away at some point, experts say that how we actually feel in our later years may not correspond to our actual age.

Since 1900, the average lifespan has doubled, but many of us have experienced the loss of loved ones to epidemics or other events. However, a new industry is developing that claims to have techniques that will increase your life expectancy.

Slowing the structural breakdown of skin and stopping the development of age-related diseases are two areas of science that have a lot of implications for health and medicine. 

The majority of anti-aging research has focused on understanding and manipulating the metabolic pathways involved in the progressive decline of biological function associated with senescence. 

This research has produced substantial evidence demonstrating the direct effects of health on the aging process, including evidence that aging can be naturally delayed by a lifetime of regular exercise.

“Aging can be reversed,” says a Harvard Medical School researcher

The researcher is an anti-aging expert with years of experience in the field. How has David Sinclair, a Harvard researcher, slowed the aging process?

A 53-year-old molecular biologist, David Sinclair, works at Harvard University. According to his DNA tests, he is only 43 years old. His secret is that he allegedly underwent a literal de-ageing process after adopting just four basic daily habits.

The status of your cells determines your biological age, not your chronological age. Sinclair said that he adopted his current healthy lifestyle when he was in his 30s, after years of excessive drinking and weight gain.

What is Sinclair’s secret, then? 

When asked about can we reverse aging and his secrets of how to delay aging, Sinclair told Insider, “For at least a decade, my biological age has been decreasing, and at this point, I am expected to live at least ten years longer than I would have if I had done nothing to increase my longevity. Therefore, it is never too late.”

He further said that, “Nobody wants to be sick for a decade, have terminal cancer, or be frail. What we are really talking about is preventing or squeezing those things out of life.”

Sinclair is well-known in the field of anti-ageing. He has written a book about it and has been on many podcasts about it over the years. Tally Health, his company, sells kits to help you determine your biological age.

David Sinclair’s four steps to slower the aging process:

Sinclair follows these habits since he was 30, and believes them to have increased his longevity.

Exercise at least three times a week

Physical activity is at the heart of practically all programs aimed at slowing the aging process. This is because it helps to maintain muscle strength, promotes heart health, prevents obesity, and decreases inflammation, all of which can cause cells to age. 

Sinclair stated that he tries to workout at least three times every week. He has the ability to swim, run, walk swiftly, and ride a bike. He even has a standing desk to avoid sitting too much.

Sip green matcha tea twice daily

 Sinclair drinks two cups of green matcha tea every day. This tea is well-known for its antioxidants, which can help limit cell damage, but it is currently unknown whether it can slow human aging. There is currently no scientific evidence to back up this claim. 

Intermittent fasting may be helpful

Sinclair claimed that the molecules in tea can help prevent cancer and have anti-inflammatory properties. Furthermore, he stated that he takes two resveratrol tablets daily, citing research indicating that the compound, which is found in red wine and cocoa, can reduce inflammation and increase longevity. However, more research is needed to confirm this.

Sinclair also recommends intermittent fasting to slow the aging process. This means that calorie intake will be restricted to a few hours. This can improve insulin sensitivity, protect against diabetes, and aid in the removal of waste from the body.

He is capable of doing all of these things. help you live longer. “Whenever possible, I try to pack my main meal into a few hours a day,” Sinclair told Insider. “And that fasting period has also had significant benefits for my estimated biological age.”

Reduce stress and give yourself some “quite time”

Sinclair stated that stress and irritation from being around “idiots” can reduce a person’s life expectancy by causing chronic stress and inflammation. The latter of these impacts can increase a person’s risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity, and sleep disorders.

 Sinclair’s suggested solution is to prevent diabetes and accelerated aging. He also insists people to schedule a daily “quite time” and stay away from idiots.
